About Hooters Gear

In 1983 six businessmen (and we use that term loosely) opened the very first Hooters in Clearwater, Florida. The group, known as the Hooters Six, was immediately indicted for impersonating restaurateurs. While the charges were later dismissed the stigma lingers on today. Through the years Hooters has grown into a huge international success with restaurants dotting the globe. We even have a Casino, Golf Tour, Racing Series, Calendar, Magazine and the Hooters MasterCard to our "credit".

In 1994 Super Sports Merchandisers was created to support the apparel and merchandising needs of our stores. Today we service over 435 Hooters locations throughout the U.S. and around the globe. HootersGear.com went live in 2000 to provide our customers with an online method of purchasing Hooters gifts and apparel. From its earliest online beginnings the site was small and limited in scope.

Fast forward to May 2007: HootersGear.com is re-launched with a brand new look and feel and an online store chocked full of all things Hooters. Today customers are able to purchase the same items found in our stores and much, much more. In the upcoming weeks and continuously moving forward we will add "internet only" items that will only be available through HootersGear.com.
